The cooperative week campaign was caried out in 17 districts of Rwanda, aiming at empowering cooperative members through the dissemination of cooperative law and policy, addressing critical cases, and delivering services at the district level.

The events brought together the central level in the development of cooperatives, the district, and cooperative members to discuss effective leadership and management of cooperatives. It has also been a time to provide services such as providing legal certificates in one day at the district level and issuing the already approved certificate, analyze and address critical cases of cooperatives and take important measures.

Another important part of the campaign has been the dissemination of the revised cooperative policy and law to increase self-reliance and equal sharing of benefits by all members in tend to empower them.

This 1^st phase of the Cooperative Week Campaign, has been celebrated in 17 districts which are Musanze, Burera and Gicumbi in the Northern Province, Rubavu, Nyabihu, Ngororero, Rutsiro, Karongi, Nyamasheke and Rusizi in the Western Province, Nyagatare and Kirehe in the Eastern Province and Nyamagabe, Huye, Gisagara and Nyaruguru in the Southern Province.
